1 Month

Our little girl is one month old! Time has gone by and I want to highlight some of the great things, and not so great things of this past month.

*Sleepless nights
*Tears of Joy
*Tears of Frustration
*Tears for no reason
*Loving her smile
*Loving looking at her..Staring at her
*Knowing now that when my mom/dad said you'll never know how much we love you until you have one of your own, SO TRUE. I LOVE YOU GUYS that much too!
*Never wanting her to grow up
*Wanting to get back to pre-baby weight, but really not caring
*Loving how my husband is as a father, how great he is at it
*LAUNDRY..it went from whites/Darks/pants to...Pink/White/Dark/Pants
*Two words...BLOW OUTS
*Brooklyn getting better after her reflux
*Starting to get more sleep
*Realizing how important and special my family is
*Being home with my precious daughter ALL DAY playing with her

These are some of the wonderful and not so wonderful joys of parenting, I LOVE IT!!! We have had a great month getting to know our little girl, she is changing so much and it's sad that she'll grow up someday and not need us like she does now. I really realize how much my parents love me, because I feel like I love my daughter more than words could ever explain, and I suppose she will never know how much that is until she has her own. We blessed Brooklyn on Sunday, May 24, 2009. She looked beautiful in a dress that I made (not the best work ever). But she's so cute she pulled it off. It's so amazing that I have a husband who can bless my daughter with all the things that she needs in her life. I also appreciate that my father was able to be there and stand in to bless her in her life also. HOW AMAZING. My Grandfather was also there and able to stand in! David has a huge family, so his Dad, brothers, and Grandpa were also there and stood in. What a wonderful experience it was, and the blessing David gave her was amazing. I recorded it for her so that when she is older she can have it. I'm so excited that I have a wonderful family. I'm feeling very blessed today! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!

Amanda, Vaughn was telling me about your fawn experience and that there were photos on your blog??? Either he didn't hear right or you intended to get them up but baby time didn't allow it yet.....anyway....it was a cute story. It's so special to read your blog and your feelings. David is a keeper for sure. No one can tell you the joy of motherhood until it's your own experience. We all realize how great our moms were when we have our own children. Interesting how that works...... Love, Barbara
