Holidays/Eight months

So we have been a little busy the last couple months. We had a tough couple weeks with finding out that we were pregnant and then we ended up having a miscarriage. It was and is tough but we are looking forward to eventually trying again and we just enjoy spending time with our little Brooklyn in the meantime.

Brooklyn is SO much fun right now, she is army crawling everywhere, and she's getting so good at it. She LOVES toys and will roll/crawl so that she can get at them and play. She turned eight months old on Christmas day and oh was it fun. She wasn't as active with the wrapping paper as we thought she would be buy oh does she love all the gifts. She was SPOILED from everyone! She got clothes/toys/blankets, and so much more. She would get fixed on a toy and just spend time playing with it and then she would move on to other things. Here are all the new fun things that Brooklyn is doing in a list:

-Army Crawling
-Rolling ALL OVER
-Has BOTH bottom teeth (top are coming FAST)
-Blabs all the time
-Stands up on objects
-Will NOT sit still in your lap
-Gives GREAT kisses
-Loves suckers
-Knows how to operate her toys
-Sleeping pretty much through the night
-Eats pretty much anything we give her

Basically she is the best thing ever. We sure enjoy her sweet spirit in our home. She is such a happy loving baby. I feel so blessed to stay home and enjoy watching her learn and grow.

Our holidays were a lot of fun, mostly because of Brooklyn but also because we got to spend time with families. It is so nice to live close and be able to share the holidays with both of our parents, siblings, and Grandparents. We just really enjoy all of their company. Please enjoy some of the pictures of the holidays.

Six months...can you believe it!

So my little princess turned six months old...I just cannot believe it. She is just changing every day, she is such a happy baby I couldn't ask for anything better! We went to her doctor the other day and he was saying that at this age is when they start to get stranger anxiety, not Brooklyn. As the doctor was saying this about her getting stranger anxiety she was laughing and smiling at him! He was surprised, not us, I swear she likes other people more than us sometimes. She is such a flirt, anytime we go anywhere she smiles at anyone who walks by. She knows no stranger.

6 month stats:

Weight: 16.4lbs-40th percentile
Height: 26 1/2 inches 75th percentile

She still REALLY hates the car seat. We went on a trip to Pocatello and she did not enjoy the ride down one bit, lucky for us she slept almost the whole way home.

She is quite a talker..she babbles at us all the time, especially in the morning time. She started saying Ba ba ba and loves to talk to her dad.

She sits up all by herself really well now, unless she sees something she wants then she dives for it and sometimes crashes.

She LOVES to eat, so far she has enjoyed everything we have tried....except chicken. Hopefully she will like real chicken because we eat a lot of chicken.

She is still not sleeping through the night, I have no idea what to do, we've tried "scheduling" naps, and feeding times. She wakes up to eat at about 2-3 every night. And she whines a couple times for her paci. I just hope she grows out of it. It's not too bad I suppose.

We just love this little girl and the sweet spirit she is in our home. She is her daddy's little girl all the way, but she is my princess. I feel so lucky to be able to stay home with her and watch her grow and change. I am so grateful for my husband and family and all they do to support us and the love they give Brooklyn.

I decided to do a little mini photo shoot with Brooklyn, she's so fun to take pictures of!

by the end of this she was so angry at me! But she's so darn cute!!!

Happy Halloween..a little late

For Brooklyn Halloween was just another day :) she dressed up as a little bee and went and saw her Grandpa and grandma Bennett. We met them in Nyssa to see my dad's mom at the assisted living where she is staying, all the people gather in their foyer and hand out candy to all the trick-or-treaters that come in. Brooklyn and Stella had them all going. They were flirting/smiling at everyone and everybody just thought they were so cute. After that we went to my parents house and had pizza and saw some trick-or treaters. It was a good time.

Just a quick update

We took Brooklyn to the Pumpkin patch this year and it was a lot of fun, she was so good! She is almost 6months old and here are the fun things she likes to do:

*Loves to put her toes in her mouth!
*Is such a happy camper in the mornings...which means Cranky at night
*Sits up all by herself
*Loves toys and is figuring them all out
*Can grab toys and pass them back and forth from both hands
*Doesn't mind being on her belly as much, she gets tired of it because she can't crawl
*Scoots around slowly
*Loves to eat!
*Loves to play with people
*Very ticklish on her sides
*Loves to play peek-a-boo with blankets and has figured out how to move the blanket off so she can peek.

These are just a few she is getting so smart every day. We love our little girl and could not imagine things without her. She is the center of our universe.

All About Brooklyn.....again

So, obviously my life is all about this sweet little girl, but she is so good/cute I totally don't mind :) Brooklyn is now 4.5 months old and her personality is really starting to come out, she's a flirt/talkative/smiley/happy baby. She LOVES to roll over and recently started eating her first foods, we've given her rice cereal and applesauce, she LOVED the rice cereal and thinks applesauce is ok. I swear she doesn't think I feed the food to her fast enough but I can't do it any faster!

About a month ago we decided to go on a little trip with her to Portland, my sister in law was blessing there new daughter and so we went up to her house, and visited a couple coasts. Brookie did pretty good in the car but after that trip now hates the car seat. We went to seaside and Cannon Beach, she slept through seaside but woke up to enjoy Cannon beach with us. It was so beautiful and the weather was so great. Overall it was a great trip and I'm so glad we were able to do it this summer.

I'm glad summer is coming to an end, Fall is my favorite time of year. I have been wanting to break out my fall decorations and David keeps telling me it's too early. I just love all the fall colors! I am a little scared going into the cold weather though, I don't want Brooklyn to get sick, but know it's unavoidable. Unless I become a hermit....not a bad idea! I hope this summer has been as great for everyone else as it has for our little family.

Brooklyn's new things:

-She is almost 26inches...that's the 75% for her age.
-She is 14lbs, that's between 25-50%
-She rolls over all the time...and just today rolled from her belly to her back..this makes it nice for me :)
-She is trying SO hard to crawl, she gets her legs up under her but cannot figure out how to coordinate her legs and arms to pick herself up..but I'm afraid it won't be long
-She is teething..which is NO fun for anybody. The drool is non-stop, fussiness is sometimes hard to handle...
-She is on Strike against sleeping through the night...DARN IT
-She LOVES to eat solid foods so far. She has tried rice cereal, applesauce, and some peaches.
-Talks ALL the time, and giggles a lot. Especially when her daddy gets home or is around. She loves her dad!
-Found her FEET and thinks they're pretty neat!
-Loves blankets and to put them in her face, weird I know..this kid would much rather play with blankets and hands than toys.

Brooklyn

Since it's been a while I figured I'd post a couple updates. It's been a while so here's what we've been up to.

First off, I have been working for my dad a couple days a week sometimes and Brooklyn rides in the swather with me! It's fun, it's nice to have company even if she doesn't talk to me. She is really good and for the most part just sleeps. The following pictures are of one of the days in the swather where we were cutting the hay and a couple fawns kept jumping in front of me, so I tried to catch this little guy, he was so small he couldn't get out of the way, so I grabbed him and made him ride with us until we were done. Enjoy.

Brooklyn turned two months and this girl is SO happy. She smiles all the time now. I LOVE IT!! Every morning when she wakes up she wants to play and coo and smile. She makes it easier to get up. She has started to sleep through the night. Here are pictures of my adorable girl smiling.

Brooklyn got introduced to PUPPIES..Everytime you ask her if she wants a puppy she gets a huge smile! She loved them and her dad will not let her have one :) Probably because we already have two dogs lol. But Here are some fun pictures with the puppies

Over the fourth of July we went camping for the first time..Brooklyn did great! She liked the water for the most part, she did get pretty warm sometimes, and that's when we would strip her down to her diaper and get her all cooled off! She was such a good girl! I just can't believe how lucky we are. She enjoyed camping and was always smiling and playing with her cousin and her grandparents. Her grandparents think she's so cute! She interacts with them so well, it's the cutest thing to watch.

David had a birthday in June and we got TOILET PAPERED...It was FUN, There was the sign on his pick-up that said HONK IT'S MY BIRTHDAY. All morning people were HONKING. It was a lot of fun, we had a picnic in the park for his birthday and then went to TRANSFORMERS, Brooklyn did GREAT in the theater honestly I don't have very many complaints about my sweet girl :)

Finally here are just some miscellaneous pictures that are just too cute not to share!
