A bit late :)

Since it's been a month and almost a half since I had my beautiful son, I figured it was time to post the story and a few pictures :) It has been a whirlwind of a month and I'm glad we're on to a new one with new adventures.

Braden's Story:

Well, I had been having contractions the whole week and had gone in to the L&D department a couple times only to be sent home and told that if my contractions became more intense and closer together to come back. On New Years Eve we were planning on spending the time with my parents and we were there for OH maybe an hour or two, I started timing my contractions and they were every 3-5 minutes, and progressively getting more intense. So, after a while David said we better go in, it ended up working well since Brookie was already with them she just stayed and played while we made the drive to Boise. We got there and they had to check my dilation, I was at a 3. They told me that if I went walking for an hour and came back and I had progressed they would keep me, if not I would be going home again. We went and walked the halls of the hospital-which are REALLY empty at night especially on a holiday :). When I got back I had made SOME progress, but not enough, they said ok, we can let you walk again or you could try the Jacuzzi tub. They say when you're in "real" labor that the Jacuzzi will intensify the contractions and help you dilate. So which option do you think a 9 month pregnant lady wanted!! THE JACUZZI! So I got to relax in a hot bath for an hour! YAY me! At this point I was getting pretty tired but they checked me again and I had progressed enough to be admitted! We got checked into our room and then I got to sit in the tub again. after that they started my on an IV for my antibiotic and we just hung out. It was a lot more relaxed then it was with Brooklyn, but SO much similar. I was having some pain and I was tired so they gave me a little medicine and I tried to rest....nope didn't happen. We kept asking the nurses if the New Year baby had been delivered yet, and it was delivered at 2:30 that morning, DARN. We missed that one, but kept joking that wouldn't it be cool if he were born at 1:11, on 1/1/11. I guess he thought it would be cool too. They kept checking me all morning and I had gotten to a five and the doctor came in and broke my water around 8. This helped me get to a six. My parents had come in with Brooklyn and so she slept on the "bed" with David and my parents went to sleep in the SUPER uncomfortable couches in the waiting room. Around 12:30 they all left me to go to the cafeteria so that maybe I could get a little rest. About fifteen minutes after they left I pushed my nurse button to ask the nurse to come in and check me, I felt pressure at this point. My nurse had also gone to the cafeteria, so the other nurse checked me and said, YEAH, you're at a 10, BABY TIME. HORRAY, so I call David, his response is, we'll be there in a minute...he couldn't hear well and didn't hear me say that it was time NOW. So they came in the room and I said, uh It's time so of course my dad RAN out of the room. :)     wouldn't you know it, our little guy decided that 1:11 would be a good time to be born, after a few pushes he was here, and  had his eyes open and he was perfect...BIG, but perfect. He was born at 37 weeks and was 8lbs. OH I'm so glad he came early. Here's a few pictures and his stats ENJOY
