Braden, Braden, Braden.....and of Course Brooklyn

I have recently been noticing that while I LOVE LOVE LOVE my little guy he is neglected quite a bit in the picture/blog department...It could be because now I have a crazy toddler who requires a bit more time..and a LOT of attention (mommy, mommy, mommy as I'm typing).  Since I have noticed that I spend a little less time with my little guy, I have also noticed that he's SUCH a good baby. Brooklyn was a great baby too, I got lucky...the only thing that I DON'T love is that my children don't sleep through the night.....Brooke is almost two and still wakes up at least once in the night (she has bad dreams..wakes up screaming mommy...SO sad).

I just need to say how much I LOVE being a mommy! These kids are seriously so great! I just love watching Brooklyn learn new things every day, and trying to figure out what the new words are she comes up with. Braden amazes me everyday at home much he changes on a day-to-day basis! He's such a big guy, LOVE to see his chubs!

Here's a side by side picture of the kids...How alike do you think they look?

Here's some great pictures that my fantastic friend/photographer took for me when Braden was a newborn that I just HAD to share, she did such a good job, LOVE them!

And finally a few scrappy pages of our little family :)

And finally, Braden's stats at 2months
12lbs 2oz- 50% at the same age Brooklyn was only 10lbs
23.5inches-75% at the same age Brooklyn was the same length
-This is also being 3 weeks early...so he's a BIG boy.

-He is starting to really find his hands, and wiggle his feet
-He has rolled over from his belly to his back a couple times already ( HELLO SCARY)
-He LOVES his daddy and smiles at him so much
-Starting to giggle, has kind of a deep giggle so far
-Has a cute little cooing voice
-Eats like a piggy...which might explain his weight!
-Is such a great baby, he will nurse, take a bottle, take any type of paci, eat a bottle cold or warm.

A bit late :)

Since it's been a month and almost a half since I had my beautiful son, I figured it was time to post the story and a few pictures :) It has been a whirlwind of a month and I'm glad we're on to a new one with new adventures.

Braden's Story:

Well, I had been having contractions the whole week and had gone in to the L&D department a couple times only to be sent home and told that if my contractions became more intense and closer together to come back. On New Years Eve we were planning on spending the time with my parents and we were there for OH maybe an hour or two, I started timing my contractions and they were every 3-5 minutes, and progressively getting more intense. So, after a while David said we better go in, it ended up working well since Brookie was already with them she just stayed and played while we made the drive to Boise. We got there and they had to check my dilation, I was at a 3. They told me that if I went walking for an hour and came back and I had progressed they would keep me, if not I would be going home again. We went and walked the halls of the hospital-which are REALLY empty at night especially on a holiday :). When I got back I had made SOME progress, but not enough, they said ok, we can let you walk again or you could try the Jacuzzi tub. They say when you're in "real" labor that the Jacuzzi will intensify the contractions and help you dilate. So which option do you think a 9 month pregnant lady wanted!! THE JACUZZI! So I got to relax in a hot bath for an hour! YAY me! At this point I was getting pretty tired but they checked me again and I had progressed enough to be admitted! We got checked into our room and then I got to sit in the tub again. after that they started my on an IV for my antibiotic and we just hung out. It was a lot more relaxed then it was with Brooklyn, but SO much similar. I was having some pain and I was tired so they gave me a little medicine and I tried to rest....nope didn't happen. We kept asking the nurses if the New Year baby had been delivered yet, and it was delivered at 2:30 that morning, DARN. We missed that one, but kept joking that wouldn't it be cool if he were born at 1:11, on 1/1/11. I guess he thought it would be cool too. They kept checking me all morning and I had gotten to a five and the doctor came in and broke my water around 8. This helped me get to a six. My parents had come in with Brooklyn and so she slept on the "bed" with David and my parents went to sleep in the SUPER uncomfortable couches in the waiting room. Around 12:30 they all left me to go to the cafeteria so that maybe I could get a little rest. About fifteen minutes after they left I pushed my nurse button to ask the nurse to come in and check me, I felt pressure at this point. My nurse had also gone to the cafeteria, so the other nurse checked me and said, YEAH, you're at a 10, BABY TIME. HORRAY, so I call David, his response is, we'll be there in a minute...he couldn't hear well and didn't hear me say that it was time NOW. So they came in the room and I said, uh It's time so of course my dad RAN out of the room. :)     wouldn't you know it, our little guy decided that 1:11 would be a good time to be born, after a few pushes he was here, and  had his eyes open and he was perfect...BIG, but perfect. He was born at 37 weeks and was 8lbs. OH I'm so glad he came early. Here's a few pictures and his stats ENJOY

Baby Braden :)

I just had to post these pictures to remember them. I'm so amazed by technology today, seeing these pictures has just been so exciting, even Brooklyn can point out baby's nose..eyes, lips, and fingers. It's getting us all pretty excited to meet him! At our last ultrasound he was measuring a bit big so hopefully that means he gets to meet us a little early!

Two new posts below!

There are two new fun posts below...Check them out!!!! :)

Halloween :)

So obviously I'm getting pretty bad at posting these days, I feel baby for this little boy because he's SO not getting the attention Brooklyn got :) well, we had a great Halloween and have been doing great. I'm 29 weeks pregnant, which means for me that I'll have my baby in 10 weeks..if not earlier because my doctor won't let me go past 39 weeks YAY. I've been feeling great for the most part, just growing...could be the Halloween candy though.

For Halloween we went to my mom and Dad's ward Trunk or Treat then visited some friends/family out there, Brooklyn was SO cute, she actually said trick or treat a couple times, she mostly said "HELLO" though which for her is a big step since she's usually pretty shy. I cannot believe that my little girl is already a year and a half old! WHERE has time gone! She is such a goofball and I love her! She makes my day/night! The other night at about 5 she came walking into my room and right up to me so I picked her up to bring her back to bed and she just hugged me then said momma....I said what Brookie, then she told me I love you. SO SO cute. I am learning though that as a parent I can understand all of her little "words" but I don't know if anyone else would. She LOVES to make funny faces and they sure are funny. I'm so excited to have our little boy join our crazy house!

Here are our pictures from lately, enjoy! p.s. ignore the sideways pictures, I have NO idea why it's doing that but I can't get them changed for some reason :(

Did I mention that one time we went to YELLOWSTONE

Well, we got real ambitious one day and went on a little vacation! David had to go to Pocatello for some work and ended up not having to work the whole week so he decided it was time for a family vacation. It was pretty interesting to see all the sights, the winding roads were not my favorite being pregnant/sick and Brooklyn did surprisingly well for the long ride. We had fun and it was a great  vacation! We planned it a little bit last minute so of course there were no "cheap" places to stay so we ended up staying in a cabin at the KOA camp, which I have to admit was not bad at all, and the price was just right! We saw a TON of wildlife, and the only thing I didn't get to see was a moose, DARN, next time!

We're HAVING a..........BOY

So, we went in to our appointment yesterday and it was an experience :) Brooklyn was supposed to stay with a babysitter, but had an AWFUL night and we didn't want to do that to anyone so we took her with us. BAD IDEA. she screamed at the doctors office for the first oh 20 minutes, so David had to take her outside to calm her down so when they finally came back in she was happy again (sort of) so we saved the "good part" for him. However, the tech tried to be really sneaky when she ran over the "parts" the first time so I wouldn't see, but I totally saw and giggled. Then when David came in she said, "it's definitely a boy" YAY. We couldn't be happier, our little family will be perfect now, I'm pretty excited. He was not an active baby at all, his mannerisms are already so different than Brooklyn's. She was so wiggly and mobile when we did her ultrasound, she yawned, had hiccups, and stretched out so big for us. Little Brother moved but his movements were just little, no big stretches, and he's in a bad position to really get good pictures of him, SAD. He was SO stretched out all over in there while Brooklyn was folded with her legs above her head playing with her feet all the time. Maybe his "mild mannerisms" will last and he'll just be my timid baby, NO complaints if that's the case! Well, for viewing pleasure here are a few pictures of our little guy.
